I will be at GenCon, the Best Four Days in Gaming, in Indianapolis, Indiana from Wednesday July 29 through Sunday August 2. This will be my first year as a Gaming Industry Insider, so I’m looking forward to being involved with that track of programming.
On Wednesday I can be found at the Diana Jones Awards ceremony at the Cadillac Ranch, sometime after 9 PM. Stop by, celebrate games and gaming, and have a drink!
Thursday I plan to swing by the Third Eye Games booth (booth #s 2016 & 2017) between 1PM and 2 PM to chat with folks about AMP: Year One and my adventure for it, “The Evolution of Apex”. I’ll be helping to staff the booth for Modiphius Entertainment (booth #2530) from 3PM to 6 PM, talking about Achtung! Cthulhu, Conan, and the new John Carter license. W00t!
Friday I’m giving a presentation for fledgling game publishers: Pitching Your Game to Distributors, at 2PM.
Saturday I’ll be working the Modiphius booth again, this time from Noon to 3PM. I’ll probably also stop by the Third Eye Games booth between 3PM and 4PM to chat and to answer any questions about my work for them.
Sunday at noon I’ll be on a panel: Freelancing: How to Get Started, beginning at Noon, and with fellow panelists Lynne Hardy, Andrew Peregrine, Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan, and Bryan Steele.
PLEASE NOTE: Times and locations of panel discussions and presentations do sometimes change. For now, these are organized into rooms 210 and 211 of the Indiana Convention enter, near the skywalk to the Westin hotel.
I’ll be around at other times too; wandering the show floor and learning things at the GenCon Writer’s Symposium. If you see me in between events, don’t hesitate to say hi!
